On October 8, the RA Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan received the FRG Catholic bishop of the armed forces and military inspector Yohakim Simon. FRG AF Catholic bishop is having a study visit in Armenia, aimed to exchange experience in spiritual service of the armed forces.
Welcoming the guest, the Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan stressed the importance of the visit and said that the spiritual service of the armed forces has great importance in the army life. S. Ohanyan said that the exchange of experience in this field with the European countries is very vital.
Yohakim Simon expressed his gratitude for the reception and said that there are many similarities in the spiritual services of the two countries’ armed forces, so it can be a productive exchange of experience between the two sides.
Press service of the Defense Ministry informed “First News And Analyses” that during the visit Simon Bishop Yohakim will have a meeting with Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, a visit to the RA ND Institute of Strategic Studies, military units, as well as historical places etc.
