Artak Zaqaryan, Republican MP, president of NA Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, today had a meeting with journalists and talked about Armenia-Hungary relation.
According to him, Hungary must prove that the mutual relation of Armenia and Hungary wasn’t one-sided.
“The issue between Armenia and Hungary mustn’t be connected with EU, since it is only between the 2 countries. Hungary must do appropriate steps, must do something, and after it Armenia can restore the diplomatic ties with Hungary. There are many ways for the solution of this issue. Hungary must prove that the mutual relation of Armenia and Hungary wasn’t one-sided. They can publicly apologize for what they had done, or, at least, follow the EU’s position over Safarov’s case (EU condemns the extradition and his pardon)” said Zaqaryan.
While talking about Vladimir Putin’s (President of Russia) visit to Turkey, he stressed that the aim of the visit was for economic activities and there is not any serious problem in it.
Zaqaryan added that Russia has always closely examined the situation in South Caucasus.
