Vice-president of the Republican party, Galust Sahakyan, commented on the statement made by Robert Kocharyan (second president of Armenia) concerning Vartan Oskanian’s scandal.
Sahakyan said that it can’t be Kocharyan’s announcement and added that it must be clarified. One of the journalists of “168 zham” asked Sahakyan whether Kocharyan responded on his statement, and the latter answered that no respond came from Kocharyan.
“However I will say my opinion. Kocharyan didn’t make a right statement; he should have done in different way. Our nation needs to be respected! Why didn’t he announce it through TV channels or other media sources, but he did it kind of hiding,” stressed Sahakyan.
The journalist recalled that Kocharyan has stressed that the government shouldn’t have done it, and asked Sahakyan to comment whether people will be united and protest the government?
“I’m sure that such thing won’t happen. I do agree that Kocharyan was a very good politician and a right person, but, there were other many honorable political figures who had the same ending.”
