Georgian media reports that Georgian Prime Minister, Vano Merabishvili, urged members of the Cabinet of Ministers to execute its duties until the transfer of power to the new government.
Merabishvili asked ministers to ensure the continued operation of all state institutions and the protection of rights of citizens.
As reported, the government discussed the situation after the parliamentary elections. The new Georgian government may function approximately from late October.
