According to the reliable sources of First news and analyses/Armenian, PAP didn’t participate in the voting process, held in October 2, because they were afraid that not all the members of the party would vote against the petition, winch was suggested by Aghvan Hovsepyan, RA General Prosecutor.
We should recall that on October 2, Vartan Oskanian lost his political immunity, since Hovsepyan suggested that Oskanian had stolen money from his own foundation.
According to the same sources PAP was afraid that some of his members would vote for the petition, in the same way that 6 republicans voted against the petition.
The spokesman of PAP, Tigran Urikhanyan, said that by boycotting the voting they hoped that everyone would follow them and they would dismiss the voting process, but why should they do it?
Of course Republicans participated in the voting process and voted for the petition, in order to weaken PAP.
So, as a result, PAP boycotted the voting process since it was sure that inside the party there is a conflict.
