President Serzh Sargsyan received students who won awards in sector of the information technology (IT) from the President in 2012. At the awarding ceremony in the Presidential Palace the head of the country granted the winners with various categories of awards.
Every year students, who perform good progress in the field of IT receive presidential award. The president congratulated them on and gave premiums.
He also highlighted the importance to make decision for the state of students, who have high marks but cannot continue studying because of their social status. “I consider this a matter of principle, and we have to solve it radically. I stress again – No good student will stay out of the studying process because of the social status. Children of socially disadvantaged families are our children.”
He also noted that they agreed to work in the direction of making 12-year education compulsory. “12-year education shall be compulsory and free and become the norm of our lives.” concluded the President.
