Today the PM of RA convened an urgent consultation in the Ministry of labor and social affairs.
He explained that the urgency is accounted for by the fact that yesterday the head control service of RA PM reported on the situation in the sphere of disability. According to the PM the supervision was carried out in all the regions of RA on how people get this or that degree of disability.
“We faced awful cases.”- noted the PM passing the right to speak to the head of control service, Sargis Grigoryan.
The latter stressed that as a result of the investigation procedural, organizational and administrative drawbacks were found out including corruption risks. “Summoning the results of the investigation we can conclude that high corruption risks exist in giving disability degree, which are preconditioned by run-outs in both legislature and administration. In order to ascertain the procedure and to avoid the corruption risks in the sphere we offer to create and establish a new methodology on classifying disability groups along with RA Health Ministry on the basis of checking tests, to make temporary regional medical-social examination commissions limiting the right of the commission member to once more become the member of the commission and to set up the staff of the medical-social examination commissions by the participation of RA Health and RA work and social ministry.”- concluded Sargis Grigoryan.
RA PM gave speech to the RA minister of employment and social affairs Artem Asatryan who stressed that situation is unacceptable for him. He noted that the staff including him is responsible for the situation. He assured that serious steps will be taken to find solutions.
“Based on the represented problems a service examination will be carried out and decisions to be made need public supervision.”- said the minister.
“Those responsible for this situation must undergo disciplinary liability. It means that in case of revealing false decisions, they will be fined.”- concluded Artem Asatryan.
Summing up, RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan demanded serious steps from the minister to make up the situation because 65-70 thousand people deal with such problem and corruption risks.” I demand to take immediate steps and punish those who are guilty and to do changes in the staff”- said the PM.
