PAP (Prosperous Armenia Party) MP Oskanian made an announcement, noting that a while ago he was deprived of parliamentary immunity. Almost at the same time they learned that Georgia’s President Mikheil Saakashvili accepted his party’s defeat in yesterday’s parliamentary elections.
“In fact, there is a political counterweight in Georgia, the president is from one political party, the legislator and the government will soon be in the hands of another party. By this Georgia is also politically ten steps ahead of us.
We had this opportunity to be the first in this issue in the last parliamentary elections. You all remember ideological basis of political struggle by me and PAP during those days, which was to create a counterbalance. Election was falsified, and now we have what we have. If there were that counterbalance, today we would not have had such injustice. This injustice is not against me. It is against the fate of our people, ordinary citizens, and the younger generation in general.”
