A delegation led by the commander of the National Guard of the State of Kansas, Major General Lee Tafanelli is in Armenia. The U.S. delegation arrived in Armenia in the framework of Armenia-Kansas cooperation.
As reported the news agency in the RA Ministry of Defense, the delegation visited various structures of the Ministry, in particular, peace-making ones, where there is the conduct of the exercise with the involvement of the National Guard. In the Ministry the guests met with Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and the head of the General Staff Yuri Khachaturov. The Minister stressed the importance of cooperation of the Armenian armed forces with the National Guard on demining and military medicine.
It was noted that the parties prepare a five-year plan for the Armenia-Kansas cooperation in the sphere of defense.
