It is impossible to suspend freedom and democracy in Georgia. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Grigol Vashadze, commenting on the speeches of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili in the UN General Assembly.
“The president once again drew international attention to those military exercises, which Russia holds all around the border of Georgia, which was confirmed not only by us, but also by the observation mission of the European Union. The president spoke about the provocations that are being implemented against our country, no matter what tool Russia used for this, be it an open military force, or attempt to interfere in the internal political life of Georgia, but the main signal, by which the speech was concluded, was the fact that it is not possible to suspend freedom and democracy in Georgia “, – said the head of the Foreign Ministry.
