EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Štefan Füle will visit Armenia on September 27 to confirm that Armenia is an important partner for the EU, to assess Armenia’s efforts aimed at strengthening ties with the European Union and, through active engagement of the Eastern Partnership, make efforts to encourage the two to sign financial agreements.
The office of the European Union informs that during his visit Štefan Füle will meet the President and the Prime Minister, as well as representatives of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
Commissioner Štefan Füle will speak during a seminar on the theme of civil society, strengthening the role of civil society in democratic governance. He will sign 43.1 million euro financial programs, aimed to implement the EU-Armenia Association Agreement.
