As the press service of RA National Assembly reports On September 25 at the NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs a meeting was held with a number of NGOs. Committee Chairperson Elinar Vardanyan welcomed the guests attaching great importance to NGO role in Armenia’s forming of a civil society.
As reported, the participants of the meeting expressed their concerns over a number of legislative initiatives. In particular, the representatives of the NGOs were unanimously against the draft law envisaging amendments to the RA Law “On NGOs” and drew the committee’s attention to their observations and concerns on the RA laws “On Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations,” “On Domestic Violence,” “On Provision of Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities for Women and Men.”
