Georgian media reports that France is dissatisfied over the publication of investigation materials on possible connections of the Georgian opposition with the underworld.
The French MFA considers that the publishing of investigation materials refers to the upcoming parliamentary elections in Georgia.
“Considering the recently spread information on torture in Georgian prisons, the use of incident materials could affect any successful implementation of elections”, the French MFA noted and added “we are surprised by the decision of Georgian government to publish materials on a possible setup plan between the opposition and criminal gangs of Georgian descent operating in France. The French government hasn’t approved this”
