Russian REGNUM reports that Azerbaijani website “Hakkin.az”, asked its readers a question; “How would you rate the efforts of President Ilham Aliyev in Safarov’s extradition from Hungary and his pardon?”, previously convicted for life time imprisonment for murdering Armenian officer, Gurgen Margaryan.
According to the newspaper “the readers were very active and in a short time about 843 people were involved in the survey and answered the question.
The results of the answers as follows:
470 participants (55.75%) reported that they fully support the president’s efforts to extradite Ramil Safarov and pardon him.
140 (16.61%) indicated that they partly support the decision.
So, the number of people who fully or partially approved the decision of President Ilham Aliyev to pardon Safarova, exceeded 72%.
Meanwhile, 151 participants (17.91%) were absolutely not supporting the decision and 54 people (6.41%) partially didn’t support.
According to the website, overall 205 or 24.32% of the participants didn’t approve Allieyev’s decision.
As reported, another 28 people (3.32%) weren’t able to answer the question.
So, the gap between those who supported the President’s efforts and those who opposed it, is very large (more than 70% supported and only 25% were against).
