After three days of recess Georgian students restored the protests on September 24. Divided into groups, they held protest demonstrations in various parts of Tbilisi. They moved to the Defense Ministry, demanding politicization of the army. As “Gruzia Online” reports students demanded the resignation of Defense Minister Dmitry Shashkin. According to them, Shashkin is one of the participants of the cruelty, which dominates in the Georgian prisons for many years. Mass demonstrations of students take place also in Batumi.
Recall that protest actions were launched in Georgia on September 18, after videos of violence against prisoners in Georgian prisons were presented to the public.
