Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Sergi Kapanadze made a speech at the meeting of Permanent Council of OSCE in Vienna. As the press service of the Georgian Foreign Ministry reports, in his speech Kapanadze paid special attention to the situation in the Russian-occupied regions of Georgia, large-scale military exercises “Caucasus-2012” near the border of Georgia and the situation in the region.
Kapanadze also spoke about the current security issues in the South Caucasus and the possible scenario of the deteriorating situation in the region. They also touched upon the issue to lead parliamentary elections in Georgia in full compliance with international standards.
During his visit to Austria, Kapanadze met with OSCE General Secretary Lamberto Zannier, the Ambassador of Ireland – OSCE Chairman O’Leary, Ambassadors of the U.S., France, Germany and other countries.
