Turkish media, citing the announcement of Kadir Topbas, mayor of Istanbul, reports that Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is going to run for president in the upcoming elections.
Earlier, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag announced that the presidential elections are scheduled for August 2014.
