According to the recently conducted surveys, Gagik Tsarukyan is the desirable candidate of opposition, Robert Kocharyan is in the second place, said the head of the sociological center, sociologist Aharon Adibekyan representing the results of the surveys conducted on September 15-16 during the meeting with journalists.
The questionnaires were realized among 1650 people having the right to vote comprising equal numbers of age groups, male or female, living areas. About 40% of them didn’t take part in the questionnaires being not interested in politics.
According to Aharon Adibekyan, the survey represents the position of 60% of active voters. The question set was who the desired joint candidate of opposition is. « It turned out that Tsarukyan is seen as the joint candidate by 30.4% directly and 12.0% indirectly, the second place takes Robert Kocharyan by 20.2%, and then comes Raffi Hovhannisyan by 14.2%, afterhim Levon Ter-Petrosyan-5.8%, and Vahan Hovhannisyan – 5.7%,- said Aharon Adibekyan adding that the undesired candidate is Levon Ter-Petrosyn, which is unacceptable for 34.2% of voters.
Aharon Adibekyan said that the second president of RA was difficult to consider in any fraction, whether oppositional or among the authorities, but taking into consideration the existing situation, he is viewed as the member of the opposition.
