The President of France Francois Hollande sent a congratulatory letter to the President of RA Serzh Sargsyan for the 21th anniversary of independence.
“Armenia can be proud of the way passed since its independence. Your country was able to move forward along the road to democracy and prosperity, at the same time strengthening its position in the international arena.”
He noted that the special relationship between France and Armenia is deeply rooted in history and marks the friendship between the French and Armenian peoples.
“I’d like to continue the mission started twenty years ago. I also use this opportunity to welcome your own will to let it be possible to continue the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement process. France, as a co-chair of the Minsk Group, pays the greatest importance to it.” wrote the French President.
