On September 21, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received a representative delegation of FIFA led by President of the organization Joseph Blatter.
Azerbaijani sources report that at the meeting they emphasized the importance of carrying out the FIFA World Cup among women U-17 in Azerbaijan, and noted the high level of preparatory work for the championship.
It was also noted that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the development of sports, including football, and regular activities are held to create sports infrastructure in the country, in the capital and in regions.
Joseph Blatter presented the head of the state the special championship medal and a FIFA pennant.
