Georgian diplomats, who are members of “Georgian Dream” coalition, sent another appeal to the employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic missions of Georgia in foreign countries, calling them to show civilian position and make the right choice. The authors of statement emphasize the need to put an end to lawlessness and punish the perpetrators.
“The diplomatic service should not be a conductor of separate political interests, but the protector of the country’s interests. Especially when we discuss such a violent regime, which is not only limited the freedom of our citizens, but also questioned their honor and the right to life “- appeal the diplomats to their incumbent colleagues.
According to them, the facts supporting the criminal nature of the authorities are more than enough: it’s the murder of innocent young people and the events of November 7, June 15 and 26, but the culmination of all these transgressions are the footage of the mayhem in prison.
The authors believe that the Georgian society will make the right choice on October 1 and they turn to diplomacy with the appeal to show examples of civic responsibility.
The appeal was signed by Salome Zourabichvili, Irakli Alasania, Tedo Japaridze, Alex Petriashvili, Victor Dolidze, Maya Panjikidze, David Zalkaliani, Zaal Gogsadze, Georgy Volsky, Irakli Chikovani and Konstantin Surguladze.
