The former Deputy minister of Defense of Armenia, military leader of Armenian forces during Nagorno Karabakh war, Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan (also known by his troops as Kommandos) today had a meeting with journalists where he discussed VSTO military trainings.
“CSTO military trainings showed that this structure began to operate once again. I can’t imagine the military aid that CSTO countries would give to Armenia in case of military actions. It is difficult to say which country will be eager to help us. But I can surely say that Russia will provide us with help and most likely Belarus also. Kazakhstan also has problems with Azerbaijan, but nobody can be sure that they will help us again.”
Ter-Tadevosyan says that as Georgian experts claim, in case of military actions between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Georgia will provide Azerbaijan with help.
“The role of Armenia grows in the region and is going to grow”.
