The Iranian-Armenians condemn the film created in the USA, which offends the Prophet Mohammed. The corresponding statement was made by the Board of the Armenian Diocese of Tehran and northern Iran on September 19. The statement particularly reads: “Creating and distributing blasphemous and offensive film against the Holy Prophet of Islam in the last days hurt feelings of the Muslims of the world, especially the representatives of the different layers of the great Iranian nation. Undoubtedly, any sacrilegious act against the divine religions is not a wise and is not based on the requirements of Jesus, it is not justified by any cause. ”
The statement also says that the council condemns the act on behalf of the Armenian community in Iran.
Recall that the wave of anti-American protests occurred after the film about the Prophet Muhammad “innocent Muslims” created in the US. Protest actions against U.S. anti-Islamic film over the past few days have been in Malaysia, Bangladesh, Iraq, Egypt, Qatar, India, Morocco, Indonesia, Lebanon, Yemen, Tunisia, Sudan and Australia. The U.S. ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens and three other employees of the U.S. embassy in that country were killed in an armed attack on the U.S. Consulate on September 11 in the Libyan city of Benghazi. Retaliation for an anti-Islamic film called on the attack on NATO military base “Camp Bastion” in Afghanistan on September 14. Victims of attacks were two U.S. Marines, and several people were injured. At least 28 people were killed as a result of the riots around the world, caused by the appearance of the film.
