Aravot.am had an interview with Hovhannes Igityan, member of National Movement party, concerning the issue of PAP-ANC relations and about PAP’s position in Armenia’s political field.
To the question what he thinks about PAP-ANC cooperation, he responded:
“To tell the truth I don’t really understand the position, which takes PAP in nowadays Armenia’s political field. From its actions I can’t find out whether it is opposition or just part of the authorities. There are objective and subjective reasons that one can’t differentiate PAP’s position. The objective reason is that our political field is very messed up and it is difficult to figure out who is who. The subjective reason is that this party belongs to a single person, to an Armenian Businessman, Gagik Tsarukyan. As all of us know, if you want to develop, or at least to have your business in Armenia, you must cooperate with the authorities. You see it is not easy for PAP either, in order to decide what to do in such situation. One thing I can say for sure that the only opposition is ANC, who is against the authorities, nowadays government, I mean Republicans, and it is already 5 years that it struggles against the Government. ”
