On September 24 RA National Assembly Ethics Committee shall conduct hearing on the case of civic activist Vardges Gaspari against member of Parliament Samvel Aleksanyan. The case is connected with the September 21 incident in front of the National Assembly when MP Samvel Baghdasaryan had grasped Gaspari’s poster after which Aleksanyan’s security staff had jabbed Gaspari down. Recall that the September 24 hearing will be conducted with ANC (Armenian National COngress) member Nikol Pahinyan reporting on the issue. In his interview today Gaspari noted not believing Samvel Aleksanyan to be punished since the decision shall be made by voting and Aleksanyan belongs to Armenia’s Republican party. Needs to be mentioned that Gaspari had earlier applied to RA court of first instance with a case against RA finance minister Vache Gabrielyan, and RA head of police Vladimir Gasparyan.
