Georgian “Kvela Siehla” (All News) daily interviewed former president of Georgia, Eduard Shevardnadze, on upcoming parliamentary elections.
According to Shevardnadze, the news that Bidzina Ivanishvilli, head of Georgian opposition “Georgian Dream” party, is working for Russia, is groundless.
“As all of us know Ivanishvilli has sold all the businesses that he has in Russia, but I want to ask a question, what if he wants to cooperate with Russia, is there a problem? Cooperating with Russia doesn’t mean that Georgia won’t be connected with the West. ” said Shevardnadze and added:
“The opposition will win in the elections, and finally, Georgian people can live freely.”
