What should we do to be able to save our national values and at the same time integrate into the bigger world and communicate with its values? What should we do in order for that connection with the world not to become a path for the evil and badness of the world to be imported to Armenia? So the rights of the gays and lesbians are protected here, but Armenian families become more like French or American families where a child is cut from his family. We know what makes us different is the warm relations in a family, where there is love and respect, where there is connection, where people are eager to take care of each other. Writes Hraparak in its editorial and adds:
“The reason for this negativity is the story I heard yesterday. A quite rich Armenian businessman who for years provided his family with everything needed, somehow failed in his business and couldn’t make profits, out of the business. His son (now earning money) with her mother have sent him out of the house, for not bringing money, and his “son” , I can describe him only in this way, said that the father can come back only if he earns money. The friends of the man told him to go to the court and divorce his wife and get his share of the house and fortune, but the man doesn’t want to do it. Most probably morality and shame are more in the dad of the family, rather than in his wife and sons.
