Azerbaijani media reports that Badri Ustuner, Turkish citizen, retired colonel, has sent a letter of gratitude to Azerbaijani president, Ilham Alliyev, concerning Safarov’s pardon.
In the letter the colonel stated that he would have done the same if he was in Aliyev’s place.
As reported, Ustuner also offered Aliyev to put Safarov’s monument in all the military units in Azerbaijan, so that it will be an example for every Azerbaijani soldier.
