The RA Ministry of Environment has joined “Let’s Do It” global movement, which is operating since 2008, when in Estonia more than 50.000 participants, in about 5 hours were able to clean out 10.000 tons of household waste.
This organization made other countries follow it and support their country by cleaning from wastes.
In 2012 Armenia also joined that powerful organization and already works have been done in the forests, which are located in Kotayk region. By the help of Armenian volunteers, and member activist of “Let’s Do It” movement, Kia, about 100 bags of rubbish were cleaned from the mentioned area.
Aram Harutyunyan, RA Environment Minister, noted that this project is very important for our country and urged all Armenian citizens to keep our surroundings clean.
