Armenian sources inform that Dilijan National Preserve violates the sanitary and ecological norms. The main dump in Dilijan is near the river Aghstev, 2-3 km away from the city and it splits into the river from the rains. It was also noted that logging has not stopped in the area of the National Park.
One area is fenced and letters are posted about the National Reserve belonging, the roads leading there most probably are used only for transportation of the trees. “From he quantity of wood residual one would conclude that it is the logging industry there,” says the alarm caller.
