Prime-Minister apparatus of Georgia rented for 16 months recently created U.S. firm for relations with the public and the government for 320 thousand dollars, which will aim to introduce and “explain” to the U.S. authorities and the public “policy and programs of the Government of Georgia.”
The only founder of Fianna Strategies is Molly McKay. Podesta Group Firm is the contractor of the National Security Council of Georgia from 2010. The aim of services rendered by the Prime Minister of Georgia will be “the development of U.S. support in domestic and foreign policy of Georgia.”
According to the contract which covers the period from September 1, 2012 to December 31, 2013, the adviser will help Administration of the prime minister “in the provision of the right audience in the United States for representing information about the programs and purposes” to the administration, including the executive authorities of the United States, Congress, non-governmental and research organizations, and the media.
In addition to the basic cost of the contract, which amounts to 320 thousand U.S. dollars, the consultant will monthly receive additional 1,500 dollars.
Besides, the Ministry of Defence of Georgia signed a contract in cost of 50 thousand US dollars with the American company on the public relations HDMK.
In late 2011 and early this year HDMK provided services to the Ministry of Education of Georgia, when the agency supervised Dmitry Shashkin. Shashkin, who is now Defense Minister, visited the U.S. last week.
