The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs commenting on easing the visa regime between EU and Azerbaijan planned to be completed by the end of this year or beginning of 2013 made un official statement on the issue.
“First, we want to facilitate the visa regime for certain categories of persons. It concerns entrepreneurs, athletes, journalists, students. It is also planned to reduce the visa price from 60 EUR to 35 EUR, as well as reduce the number of documents required to obtain a visa.”
Currently, the EU and Azerbaijan negotiate on this issue. Subsequently decided that the citizens of countries included in “Eastern Partnership” program will be free of visa regime. ”
