Georgian media reports that Foreign Minister of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, at a joint press conference with the Foreign Ministers of Georgia, Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Chez Republic, held in Tbilisi, said that all political parties must recognize the results of October 1 parliamentary elections, if international observers call them fair.
“It is important that elections in Georgia are democratic. This will be strong signal to other countries of the region, as well as to Europe. All parties should have equal conditions and when the results are announced and recognized by international organizations, the results should be recognized by all parties,” said Rinkēvičs.
Other Foreign Ministers also expressed their attitude towards the upcoming elections.
