Azerbaijani media, citing the announcement of Uzbek foreign Ministry, reports that Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan will hold another round of Uzbek-Azerbaijani political consultations, which will be held at the level of deputy foreign ministers in Baku on September 18, 2012.
AS reported, during the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation, exchanging the views on regional and international issues of mutual interest will be discussed.
The presidents confirmed their intention to continue developing the relations based on the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the two countries, signed in May 1996, and the declaration on the further strengthening of the strategic partnership (March 2004) during Azerbaijani Presiden,t Ilham Aliyev’s official visit to Tashkent in September 2010.
Note, diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan were established in October 1995.
