Georgian media reports that today, September 17, five foreign ministers, from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania and Romania have arrived in Georgia, due to the upcoming parliamentary elections on October 1.
As reported, the ministers, while being at the airport, said that the visit supports for democratic elections, the reforms in Georgia and the process of Euro-Atlantic integration.
Foreign Ministers of the five EU countries will meet with President Saakashvili, Speaker David Bakradze, Secretary of the National Security Council, Giga Bokeria, opposition members and the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia.
The source informs that the ministers planned to discuss Georgia’s efforts on integration into Euro-Atlantic organizations, as well as the relations between the EU and Georgia and security issues in the South Caucasus region.
