Today, September 15, PAP MP Vahan Babayan had a meeting with journalists concerning PAP and ANC relations, and talked about PAP’s policy.
According to Babayan they still can’t say anything about upcoming presidential elections, whether Gagik Tsarukyan, PAP leader, will be nominated or not:
“We are not going to talk about this issue at this moment. What concerns our cooperation with ANC, I can say that we don’t see the need of it, since our party is one of the most prestigious parties in Armenia, and our leader, Gagik Tsarukyan, is also very honorable person. We are now in the centre of the Armenian political field.”
To the question why Elinar Vardanyan, President of National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Human Rights, PAP member, participated in the protest action, organized by ANC, he responded:
“It is her job, because it concerns human rights, and naturally she should have taken part in it”
