General Secretary of the European Movement (EM) Diogo Pinto is on a working visit to Azerbaijan.
Within visiting Azerbaijan, the General Secretary asked about the activities of the Azerbaijani EM representation, met with the Council of the Board Movement, the head of Baku Office mission of OSCE, Deputy Ambassador Melissa Stone, and other senior officials of the structure.
In the course of meetings launched in the European movement in Azerbaijan, Diogo Pinto exchanged views with the secretaries and representatives of the government on the activities of the movement, emerging issues and future plans.
In the morning of September 13, General Secretary met with the Political Adviser of the EU Azerbaijan Andrei Valentinov, head of the Centre for Strategic Studies (CSS) of Azerbaijan Farhad Mammadov and head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Elman Abdullayev.
During the meeting with A. Valentinov they discussed the work done in Azerbaijan in connection with European integration and the contribution that can be made in this case by the European Movement of Azerbaijan. After the visit to Diogo Pinto will present a report on the activities of the European Movement of Azerbaijan and the general situation in the country.
