On September 6, the New York Southern District Court of the United States came up with a verdict against Vardan Aivazian’ and in favor of “Global Gold Mining” LLC (“GLI”). According to the verdict Ayvazian will be charged for 37,537,978.02 U.S. dollars.
According to the subjects in the judgment of 2006 “Global Gold Mining” company, Hankavan mine was corrupt and had been subjected to improper demands of Armenia’s former environment minister Vardan Ayvazyan. The company engaged international and local lawyers.On March, 2012 GLI has appealed to the federal court to make a decision concerning Ayvazyan. The final judgment of the federal court in favor of GLI for damages from Aivazyan’s actions amounted 37,537,978.02 U.S. dollars charge.
