“First Armenian News and Analysis” interviewed ARF NA secretary Ahgvan Vardanyan, who doubted the possibility of presenting a joint candidate. “The ambitions of or our political leaders and our political culture don’t let me believe in the idea of joint candidate. What about our party, soon we will present our political program representing the main problems in Armenia, like poverty, social polarization, emigration, foreign debt and some others. The program will be ready in a month after the Supreme Assembly of the party.”- informed Vardanyan
On the possibility of creating some union on the analogy of Joint headquarter including ARF, ANC and PAP Aghvan Vardanyan said that their agenda comprises issues, and the solutions of which may let the inclusion of other interested parties adding that the results will be clear after negotiations.
To the commentary whether Agjvan Vardanyan will support Kocharyan along with “Prosperous Armenia” in case if he runs his candidacy, he answered that they are the most independent force in Armenia and their decisions don’t depend on Kocharyan or Sargsyan and they are first of all guided by programs, the way how the crucial issues of the country are going to be solved.
Vardanyan refrained from answering whether political parties are likely to join around Raffi Hovhannisyan who has announced about runnig his candidacy in presidential elections explaining that the idea of joint candidate is not realistic for him.
