“Aravot” writes that there is a panic among the public. The reason is that RA Ministry of Defense is calling men, of different age groups, to come to military commissariat in order to participate in military exercises.
The journalists of “Aravot” daily tried to find out whether these actions are connected to Armenian-Azerbaijani tense situation or not. “Aravot” had an interview with Defense Ministry spokesman, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, connected the issue.
The spokesman responded:
“There mustn’t be any panic in the public, since these actions are usual and are done annually. According to our “Military Law” a person, until the certain age, must be ready for such kind of actions. We are doing this particularly for our nowadays soldiers, in order to give them experience. The called people are coming for military exercises for not more than 3 days. So I assure the public that there won’t be any special operation under such actions. This is just a usual thing and is a must for our army ” stressed Harutyunyan.
In the end Harutyunan noted that the actions will be over later in October.
