In the PACE fall session, scheduled to be held from October 1-5, the issue of Safarov’s extradition will be discussed.
Recently in one of the previous PACE sessions, our delegation member, Armen Rustamyan, member of ARF Fraction, required that the issue should be put on the agenda.
Seven participants voted against the discussion whereas twenty voted for it.
Among the protestors were Turkish and Azerbaijani diplomats, and Jordi Khugla I’ Costa, who is the president of Nagorno-Karabakh issue under PACE.
We should recall that Hungarian delegation didn’t take part in the session.
Head of the Armenian delegation in PACE, Davit Harutyunyan told our journalists that our delegation will surely touch upon the issue.
“We will especially talk about the Azerbaijani side, and show their policy towards us.”
To the question whether it will give a deep impact on the issue, he responded:
“I don’t think it will give a deep impact but certainly we will show Azerbaijan’s government’s real “face”.
In the end Harutyunyan stressed that they would have the chance to talk about Hungarian side, but it doesn’t get into their agenda, they just want to talk about Azerbaijan’s terrible step.
