We should recall that yesterday Armenian MFA, Edward Nalbandian, received Foreign Minister of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn, who said that “Turkey should ratify Armenian-Turkish Protocols”.
As reported, Asselborn stated, at joint news conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, “While in active talks with Turkey, Luxembourg is expressing European Union’s position on the issue.”
Speaking on Ramil Safarov’s extradition from Hungary to Azerbaijan and the following pardon, Jean Asselborn said that the EU is very concerned about the issue adding that he is going to inform his Hungarian counterpart about his concern.
Asselborn also shared impressions after the visit to Genocide Museum:
“I was very touched. Seems like I still see a picture of a mother holding two of her children, one of them already dead. I hope we’ll have enough courage to tell the truth about Genocide to future generations and prevent recurrence of such atrocities,” he stressed.
