Azerbaijani Ambassador to Iran Javanshir Akhundov met with the head of Iran’s East Azerbaijan Alirza Baig.
The official sources report that Azerbaijani Ambassador once again expressed condolences to the victims of the earthquake that occurred on August 11 of this year in Iran, and said that his country intends to continue providing assistance to the earthquake victims.
In connection with this purpose D.Ahundov presented to the President of East Azerbaijani government proposal to build a school or hospital in one of the villages affected by the earthquake. In turn A.Beygi expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for the provided help.
During his visit to the East Azerbaijan D.Ahundov got acquainted with the undertaken restoration works here, and had a conversation with the locals.
