On September 11, Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan received the Commander of the German Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Rainer Glats.
On welcoming the guest Seyran Ohanyan noted that Armenia highly appreciates NATO’s planned cooperation of “AYSAF” armed forces with the FRG. “The formula for success is based on the Armenia- German warm and friendly relations.” Then Defense Minister presented to the Lieutenant General Rainer Glats Armenia’s Armed Forces in international peacekeeping operations experience.
Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome, Lieutenant General Rainer Glats praised Armenia’s participation in the Afghanistan operations. On September 11, Lieutenant General Rainer Glatsin was also received by the Colonel General Yuri Khachaturov, they discussed issues of mutual interest, including the prospects for future cooperation.
