Armenian trusted sources report that on September 10, the Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received newly appointed South African Ambassador Chupu Stanley Mathabatha (residence in Kiev),on the occasion of presenting copies of credentials.
Welcoming the guest and congratulating the new appointment Nalbandian assured that his work will give new impetus to bilateral relations, adding that the Armenian side attaches great importance to developing relations with African countries, including South African Republic.
Ambassador Mathabatha expressed gratitude for the hospitality and assured that it will spare no effort to develop the relations between the two countries. They referred to the activation of political dialogue between the two countries, the establishment of legal frameworks, to the development of economic, technical and scientific cooperation. In this context, Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ministry of Economy of Armenia and the Northern Cape Province of South Africa will continue to cooperate and exchange experience in the field of diamond and jewelry.
The sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues.
