Azerbaijan’s presidential elections of 2013 are scheduled on October 16.
As APA reports with according to the Electoral Code, the Wednesday of the third week of last year’s October, when the presidential term according to the Constitution expires, is the day of the elections. Election day is announced by the Central Election Commission (CEC).
The page reports that CEC’s decision on declaring the day of election shall be published no later than in 2 days. Since 2013, the CEC will initiate traditional courses in connection with the presidential elections.
