Iran again disturbed the regulation of VISA issue between Baku and Ankara. As Turkish mass media reports, though Azerbaijan and Turkey have agreed on VISA issue, Iranian contradiction disturbs signing intergovernmental contract on cancelling VISA regime.
According to mass media, Iranian party put a condition that if Azerbaijan simplifies the regime with Turkey, it will have to do the same for the Iranian citizens; otherwise Tehran threatens to close overland traffic with Nakhijevan.
“Azerbaijani authorities made the Turkish officials understand that they are ready to cancel the VISA regime, but Iranian resistance disturbs the realization of the issue. The Turkish party was sympathetic to Azerbaijani position.” – mentioned the mass media.
