“I think that we deviate from the main issue, as the crucial thing to be done for all the parties today is to get united and create a joint position on the issue of nationwide importance. The main guilty is Azerbaijan, not Armenia. It is of interest to note that NKR positions have become stronger as a result of Azerbaijani actions.” – said the director of Regional Studies center Richard Kirakosyan in the interview with “168 hours” referring to the possibility of Armenia recognizing NKR independence after Safarov’s extradition.
“Nagorno Karabakh must decide itself whether it wants to join Armenia or to be independent, till now it has shown no concrete decision. At the same time, one thing is sure, that NKR is never to join Azerbaijan.”- He said adding that the events around Safarov’s extradition are more favorable for Armenia.
