On September 5, Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Garegin II, received MFA of Argentina, Hektor Markos Timmerman in Holly Etchmiadzin.
The Argentinean delegation was accompanied by Armenian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ashot Hovakimyan.
During the discussion the Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Garegin II, said that he sees a great progress in Armenia-Argentina cooperation, and wished that in future these 2 countries will continue their already established friendly relations.
As reported, His Holiness Garegin II expressed his gratitude towards Argentina, for recognizing Armenian Genocide, and for involving in peaceful negotiations over Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Hektor Markos Timmerman, MFA of Argentina, expressed his gratitude for warm welcome, and passed the greeting of the president of Argentina, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. During the meeting the Minister assured that the corporation of 2 countries will be developed in the near future, and noted that the role of Armenian community is great in the development of Argentina.
