Political scientist Armen Minasyan today in the interview with the journalists reported that the some candidate that were nominated or nominated themselves for the local government elections and later rejected their own participation, did that only because of some technical problems. “According to the law, if there is only one candidate, the elections fail. That is why the self-rejections were more technical than political.”
The speaker believes that the ANC is not participating in the local elections, because of lack of resources. In this respect, ANC welcomes ARF who participates in the elections with even few resources. “It is not absolutely essential that you win, you are talking about your plans, this is important. When you do not speak people do not know what you think and you lose your vote.”
He also said that the there will not be qualitative changes in the local election. Non-party members can be elected but after the elections they will join this or that party anyway”.
